Meteorite

Silence creeps through a starry night,
The moon glows with its light so bright;
With rays of sliver glimmer, speckle and dust,
Shining through the forest paths giving it Life!

Nestled bugs dance around rustled leaves,
Crickets sing about to the melody;
Owls go hoot into the pitch black night,
The night is young with no day in sight.

Then behold!

Zooming through the black dark skies,
A silver lining so clear in sight;
Piercing through cotton clouds with all its might,
Creating awe, pleasure and of course, delight.

It was not alone,
Nor abandoned,
Nor stranded,
Certainly not the only one left.

Like a herd of cows grazing away,
Like pack of wolves out hunting for prey;
Like a school of fish swimming in circles,
It brought company to this place of miracles.

The night then lilted with lights of pride,
Blending colours into everything in sight;
Make a wish now with all your might,
On this very day flooded with meteorites…
