There Used To Be

There used to be,
An old oak tree,
Where there was then,
The world found You and Me.

There used to be,
A river so crystal clear,
Oh how i remembered it,
Past those meaningful years.

There used to be,
A grasp of sunlight,
Brightening up our days,
Banishing all sorrows aside.

There was to be,
A future in sight,
However destiny turns,
Leaving me so empty inside.

Gone does the oak tree,
Gone does the river,
Gone does the sunlight,
Along with the future.

As sorrow crept in,
Leaving me so helpless,
My hopes destroyed,
Now life is just pointless...
