333 Seafood Restaurant Pan Mee (Perak)

Pan Mee

Next stop in Seri Manjung, Perak, would be 333 Seafood Restaurant. Located just beside The Store and behind James Cendol ( introduced in my previous episodes, http://nickel-low.blogspot.com/2012/08/james-cendol-coolest-cendol-in-sitiawan.html ), people usually go there for the great seafood varieties there. But in this episode, the Pan Mee has won my heart over with its unique taste and flavour. Non-halal.

3 3 3!!

Unlike many other Pan Mee ( a flour made type of mee) I've tasted all around Malaysia, this was originally hand-made, and shredded into pieces by a hand-operated machine. Started as a small buisness by a father and son a year ago, it claims to be a heritage of Penang Pan Mee. What makes this dish so tantalizing is the way this chef cooks it. Instead of cooking a whole pot of soup and then serving it together with the mee like many other hawkers do, he begs to differ as he cooks the soup and mee on the spot upon order. So on weekends, do expect a longer queue.

Shredded!

Hand-made!

The soup is flavour-full, tasty, and with a tinge of the home-made chilli, everything pans out well in this delicious dish. The mee is also not as hard as Pan Mee usually are. This, chewy and soft, it really bodes well with the soup and stuff. Served at only RM3.50 per dish, this is something you have to get your hands on whenever you are nearby the area.
